Policy change - California Bar
Kyle Kate Dudley, UC Berkeley School of Law Assistant Director of Student Services and Accessible Education, along with Lisa Noshay Petro, Director of Disability Resource Program at UC Hastings, have submitted a public comment on the California Bar's proposed amendments to Rule 4.90.
The Proposed Revised State Bar Rule 4.90 Regarding Testing Accommodations will make it very challenging for students to appeal unless they apply for accommodations early in their 3L year. They are hoping to push back against the incongruity of the initial petition deadline and the appeal deadline only 21 days later, and also make commentary on the high rate of what they find to be arbitrary denials.
